Job Description

The candidate will be a part of the O365 SharePoint Center of Excellence team and will take part in supporting the global O365 SharePoint online (SPO) and various on-prem SharePoint environments in addition to developing and customizing solutions built on SharePoint and .NET technology stack. He / She will be responsible for designing and implementing information Management solutions, migrating both content and IM solutions as required, doing the design and development of SharePoint Power App, Power Automate, Forms, including major and minor Web applications for internal and external clients. The senior engineer will design, test and deliver SharePoint online solutions, design and create sites, site collections, templates, web parts, content types and policies, libraries etc. Responsibilities Deep functional understanding of the SharePoint platform and capabilities, the Power platform as it pertains to O365 SPO solutions, Forms and SharePoint migration tools Ability to understand. business objectives and translate into SharePoint functionality / requirements Verbal and written communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and technical document writing Experience of working with a wide range of client facing stakeholders with some engagement at the senior level (could be tweaked depending on the level of Consultant that is being recruited) Understanding of SharePoint governance good practice and importance Understanding of Microsoft Technology stack Ability to configure Simple applications using out of the box SharePoint functionality Awareness of the end to end Solution Lifecycle Development process Understanding of platform hosting models and environments Ability to work with offshore delivery teams Small project delivery, management of scope and customer expectations Ability to troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical issues Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines Ability to react quickly and effectively to issues and opportunities. Key Competencies / Skills Mandatory Skill 6 or more years of Development and support experience in SharePoint 2010/2013 and above 2 or more years of support experience with SharePoint Online 2 or more years experience with the ShareGate migration tool which includes the ability to troubleshoot both SPO and SharePoint 2010/2013 so that content is migrated properly (content, metadata, security and taxonomy) Working IT admin knowledge of SharePoint online (SPO). SPO admin experience does not have to include extensive SharePoint admin center administration but its helpful. At minimum, knowledge of what will need to be requested from the SPO Admin support team so migrations can be completed seamlessly. Working IT admin knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 etc (platform config, mapping metadata from SharePoint 2010 and above to SPO, Security management) Experience in designing Nintex forms and workflows Solid understanding of all SharePoint features out of the box how to use and customize in browser as well as from tools such as SharePoint Designer. Understanding of SharePoint feature/solution model to create and deploy customizations such as web parts, list event receivers, content types, list schemas, site page templates, application pages, publishing pages, etc. Experience in programming with the SharePoint object model. Understanding of site branding including the development of site definitions. Involved in the development of public facing internet sites using SharePoint publishing features. Good understanding of Application lifecycle management, release management and following industry coding best practices Good communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of application life cycle management Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team member in the accomplishment of goals. Desired Skills Proficient with ASP.NET and C# development in a commercial environment, using a range of technologies (C#, .NET 4, Rest API and SQL) Proficient with client scripting technologies (jQuery, Javascript, AJAX) and the ability to write functional cross browser code Programming in a team environment utilizing a software development life cycle (SDLC) tools such as Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server Development experience with a relational database Microsoft SQL Server, including data access via ADO.NET, Entity Framework, REST and LINQ Experience in the configuration and administration of SQL databases (including queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views and indexes) and understanding of SharePoint content databases Experience in response design frameworks and techniques
