WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR The successful candidate will have extensive, practical experience administering Windows, Linux and Mac systems, both desktop and server in the post production industry. The role will include a mixture of BAU activities, supporting our existing infrastructure, and new projects, where we are growing our team, and moving into the cloud where appropriate. WHAT YOU OFFER US Maintain a wide range of systems, including physical, virtual and cloud machines Building trust and relationships with technical and non-technical users to understand their needs and pain points and deliver practical solutions Develop broad knowledge of software, systems, and standards and conventions used in production. Work with related technical teams including security, EUC, networks and core infrastructure Update documentation for the pipeline and tools to reflect any changes that are made. GREAT TO HAVE 5+ years experience as an engineer in post production Experience deploying and supporting a render farm with linux render nodes (preferably Thinkbox Deadline), with common DCCs (Maya, Max, Houdini, Nuke) and renderers (Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift) Extensive, demonstratable experience as sysadmin on Linux and/or Windows, focused on supporting VFX workflows Experience with containerised software (e.g. docker) and orchestration tools Knowledge and recent experience of cloud (AWS) and cloud studio solutions Work at high levels of technical complexity, under operational pressures Ability to work both alone and as part of a team, and to remain calm under pressure A positive, enthusiastic manner with an ability to work effectively with all stakeholders Capable of delegating and distributing tasks to others in the team Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines LOCATION Chennai it is TIMINGS We work on 9-hour shifts that change depending on the regions you are working with and at the discretion of your line manager
