Job Description Staff Data Engineer - Oracle SCM Expert Summary We are seeking a highly accomplished Oracle Fusion BI Expert with robust experience in leveraging Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Management (SCM) data for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing use cases. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in using your Fusion SCM knowledge to help architect data pipeline frameworks, inform transformation logic and data modeling, and help educate the BI team on the nuances of Fusion SCM data to facilitate analytical needs. Key Responsibilities Oracle SCM Expertise: 5+ years of experience developing pipelines to extract data from Oracle Fusion SCM, specifically through use of Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) and Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) Considerable depth of experience in writing custom SQL to interact with Fusion SCM schema Expert-level understanding of Fusion SCM data model, its relation to the Fusion SCM app and the processes it. supports Exposure to a Fusion SCM implementation that had custom extensions Familiar with functional aspects of Fusion Oracle SCM modules, including Inventory Management, Order Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing, to align with our business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain processes with our organizational objectives. Data Engineering Experience Expert level SQL Exposure to data engineering in BI context, including ETL processes, data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture. Participated in the development and maintenance of data pipelines for collecting, cleansing, and transforming supply chain data from multiple sources. Aware of foundational concepts around design, development, and management of data warehouses and databases for storing and managing supply chain data efficiently. Participate in data engineering tooling and technology selection, ensuring robust data engineering practices. Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to create data models, dashboards, and reports that support data-driven decision-making. Qualifications Required: Bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field. 10+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence solutions for Oracle SCM data (4+ Fusion, some on-prem ok). Proficiency in tools and technologies, such as Oracle SCM Cloud, Oracle Database, SQL, BIP (Business Intelligence Publisher) Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Some understanding data warehousing concepts Deep understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and industry-specific practices is crucial. Solid understanding of supply chain best practices and industry standards. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Understanding DevOps practices and tools for automating SCM-related processes and deployments can be advantageous.
