The Bigdata Scala Developer will be responsible for functional programming, software development, test-driven development, and microservices. The role will involve day-to-day tasks related to programming, developing and testing software applications, implementing and maintaining data pipelines, and working collaboratively with a team of developers. Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain big data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and. translate them into technical solutions Clean, transform, and aggregate large datasets using tools like Spark SQL and Data Frames Develop unit tests for Spark jobs and ensure code quality Implement best practices for data engineering, including code documentation and version control Troubleshoot and debug complex big data issues Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in big data technologies Qualifications Experience in Big Data technologies and Scala programming Strong understanding of functional programming principles Proficient in test-driven development and software development methodologies Experience with microservices architecture and designing scalable systems Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, and other Big Data technologies Experience with data ingestion, processing, and storage techniques Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and collaboration skills Any relevant certifications or degree in Computer Science or related field About Workassist Workassist is an online recruitment and employment solution providing a platform in India.
