Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced PowerBI Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing business intelligence solutions using PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, DAX, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization, data modeling, and reporting techniques, along with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards and reports to visualize complex data sets and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Create and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports for operational and ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Implement and optimize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) formulas to perform calculations and manipulate data within PowerBI.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of PowerBI reports and dashboards for improved responsiveness and user experience.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, and related technologies, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in developing business intelligence solutions with a focus on PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, and DAX.
- Proficiency in designing and developing interactive and visually appealing PowerBI dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience in designing data models for reporting and analytics purposes.
- Solid experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL development and maintenance.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for building operational and ad-hoc reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications related to PowerBI, SQL Server, or other relevant technologies.
- Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and tools such as R or Python.
