• As a Maintenance Head- Electrical, your role involves ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within an organization
• You are responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and implementing electrical safety measures
• Here are some key aspects of your role:Equipment Maintenance: You conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to manufacturer specifications
• This includes transformers, motors, generators, control panels, switchgear, and other electrical components
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: You diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and failures, identifying the root causes of problems and implementing appropriate solutions
• This may involve repairing or replacing faulty components, wiring, or circuits
• Preventive Maintenance: You develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical systems
• This includes creating maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements
• Electrical Safety: You ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations, such as NFPA 70E or IEC 60364, and implement safety protocols and practices
• This includes conducting safety audits, performing electrical safety tests, and training personnel on electrical safety procedures
• Documentation and Reporting: You maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed
• You generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and recommendations for improvements or upgrades
• Energy Efficiency: You identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption within the organization
• This may involve analyzing energy usage, implementing energy-saving measures, and recommending the use of more efficient equipment or technologies
