Job Description

Brief

• Software Engineer with hands on work experience on Java Technologies including Micro service/Rest Service/Cloud - Container as well as application platform using Dockers/Kubernetes and API.
• Looking for an individual who has more than 7 years of experience on Java/J2EE/Spring technologies.
• Someone who can take ownership, lead and drive solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong eye for business and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Write quality application and service layer code to support high volume consumer support website
• The applicant should be part of the ambitious scrum team, where everyone is responsible for development, automation testing, build and deploy using micro services, API and cloud.
• Quickly and effectively understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions while adhering to the agreed specification
• Create accessible, dynamic works with AJAX, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Contribute to reduction of technical debt within legacy applications while building towards common goals

Key Qualifications

• Extensive Java and Spring development experience, preferably gained on complex, multi-tier, web-based business applications
• Strong expertise in Azure, Micro services, Docker, Kubernetes based Software architectures
• Knowledge and experience of Agile software development processes and methodologies
• Experience using version control (Git) and bug tracking systems (JIRA)
• Solid understanding of Continuous Integration standard methodologies
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• 6 to 9 years of experience

Desired Qualifications

• Ruby on Rails or Python experience
• Micro service-oriented architectures & REST based web service development
• Comfortable with test driven development, pair programming, and experience working with remote team members
• Internal experience working with COLP or eCommerce at NortonLifeLock
• Experience developing global websites localized into multiple languages
