Job Description
The Insurance Claims Analytics Center of Excellence at Verisk is looking for a full stack developer to aid development efforts of our core and prototype SaaS applications. You will closely work with a team of Developers Data Scientists in India and the United States to integrate machine learning into our SaaS products (web apps and APIs).
- 5+ years of development experience Effective verbal, written and digital communication with teams spread around the world.
- Ability to quickly understand requirements and deliver with minimal need for oversight and supervision during the working day.
- Self-motivated and problem-solving attitude
- Follow agile software development best practices to deliver high quality code
Technical skills needed
- Experience with Angular (with Ionic or Bootstrap)
- Unit Testing with Karma/Jasmine.
- High level programming language experience needed (Python, etc.)
- Database experience needed (Relational and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB)
- Web service experience (RESTful APIs)
- Cloud
- Experience with any public cloud providers (AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP)
- Cloud storage (s3, firebase storage etc.)
- Python programming experience preferred
- Serverless development experience a significant plus (especially AWS Lambda)
- API integration experience (e.g. Google Maps/mapbox, Twilio, Stripe, SendGrid etc.)
- Basic understanding of Data Science a plus
