Job Description
Responsibilities: Develop user interface and interactions using React.js Building reusable components and front- end libraries for future use Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web- capable devices and browsers Take ownership of components and be responsible for the sub systems right from design, code, testing, integration, to deployment, and further enhancements. Generate Restful Services specifications and coordinate with other development teams for implementation Understand Requirements for assigned tasks Design and Develop assigned functions Independent delivery of all assigned tasks Delivery of assigned tasks in time Perform unit tests for the tasks Report status, intimate any risks identified with the task delivery to team lead 1- 4 years of experience in developing web applications At least 1 year of hands- on experience in building applications in React JS Solid understanding of Java script fundamentals including ES6 Hands- on web development experience including the following technologies: jQuery, XML, JSON, HTML5, CSS, Ajax etc. Have experience on team using Agile/ Scrum methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, test automation and release management Experience with web- scale online platforms and capabilities including mobile web development Knowledge in distributed front end / backend systems and API design (REST) Experience with version control software such as Git Use of Firebug or Web Developer toolkits and IDEs Mobile app development experience is a plus Should have worked on projects with agile / scrum methodology Domain understanding of ecommerce Strong proficiency in JavaScript, and the JavaScript object model Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JWT is a plus Best practices in building React JS applications esp., using Redux MANADATORY SKILLS: Eclipse / Visual Studio Code PREFERRED SKILLS: APIs like twitter, facebook, google, paypal etc. Eclipse IDE / Visual Studio Code Issue tracking systems like Yodiz, Jira etc. Ability to set meet high professional standards Strong Analytical and problem- solving techniques. FNP stores are spread across 225 cities in India. This position is for the ecommerce division of FNP (www.fnp.com). The hire in this position will be a part of core team participating in the continuous evolution of FNP resulting in systems on the bleeding edge of technology.
This position is responsible for the design, development, maintenance optimization of web UI across multiple projects.
Responsibilities Lead development team on user interface development tasks Generate highly performance standard compliant design and code Come up with efficient design / development patterns for UI and work with team on producing quality code in timeframe identified for project Coordinate with creative, business web development teams Generate documentation for the design and development artifacts Responsible for continuous improvement in the performance of all web properties Responsible for production support of issues related to UI / UX Be a subject matter expert on UI / UX Responsible for continuous inputs to Stakeholders for adopting bleeding edge technologies Duties / Activities Read wireframes and produce clean front- end code (html, css javascript), and when UI wireframes are not available, come up with basic UI design Make the web properties standards compliant (w3c etc.) and send periodic compliance report Coordinate with back- end developers in integrating with front- end code Perform code review of all front- end components Perform analysis / debugging of UI / UX in production systems during troubleshooting / emergency Perform (pre/ post development) cross- browser compatibility tests and generate compatibility reports Participate in SCRUM process as SME Collaborate with business users creative team, for visualizing requirements better Participate in recruitment activities Designing training programs for new recruits fresh and experienced Imparting training to new recruits fresh and experienced Visualize, Plan Execute / drive POCs for UI technology upgrades where needed Supporting Technical Architect for any UI / UX matter Coordinate with in- house / partner QC team Understanding of Web based platform / application development Good debugging skills Understand Agile methodology, esp., scrum framework Understanding of UI performance browser engines Understanding UI rendering in both desktop mobile devices Understanding Content Delivery Networks Ability to perform in extremely dynamic environment with fast changing requirements Strong hands- on experience in hand coding html, css javascript Work independently and with creative / graphics designers, engineers, and QC Understand ecommerce B2C domain Understand usability concepts Understand interaction design fundamentals Understand Semantics, Information architecture user testing Understand SEO other marketing concepts Ability to distinguish between content and layout styling Pro- active problem solving skills and working with multiple teams Skills Photoshop / Illustrator / Dreamweaver etc. Understanding templating languages like freemarker is a plus Good sense of aesthetics Must be committed, enthusiastic, innovative and commercially aware.
