Provide end to end support for Netbackup catalog manipulation using CatMan tool.
Must Have
1) NetBackup Administration
2) NetBackup Trouble Shooting
3) NetBackup implementation
4) Appliance Configuration & Administration
5) Veritas Cluster
6) Flex Appliance
7) Unix Administration (any Flavor)
8) Windows Administration
Good to have:
1) Data Domain
2) VMware
3) RMAN
4) Any cloud solution
Requirements:
College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
6-8 years' experience managing large NetBackup environment with strong understanding of NetBackup Appliances. Experience managing multiple large environments a plus.
Minimum 4 years' experience managing an enterprise class tape library using LTO tape drives. Experience with Oracle SL series libraries and ACSLS software a plus.
Advanced understanding of the following NetBackup features: MSDP, Storage Lifecycle Policies, Replication, Vaulting, Accelerator, VADP Backups.
Must have basic knowledge of RAID, SCSI, SAN, NAS, NFS and iSCSI.
BASH and/or Perl or other scripting experience a definite plus.
Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required.
Strong time management and organizational skills are required.
Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of Systems management and administration with an in-depth understanding of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Unix/Linux.
Strong problem isolation and resolutions skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
Understands how to work with technical and non-technical leaders in a professional setting.
Experience creating documentation and working with MS Office and Visio tools suite.
Team player and feels comfortable mentoring peers.
Can work in a high paced environment and able to present solutions to problems.
Industry recognized certification in storage / backup technology(ies) a plus.
Experience with backup monitoring tools such as Aptare StorageConsole is a plus.
