- You'll be taking on a mixture of tasks helping to design, build and maintain Container platform solutions and environments for our customers. The ideal candidate will be self - motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, learn new skills while improving on existing ones, all the while maintaining a positive and "can do" attitude.
- Successful candidates will bias toward action and focus on supporting iterative ('Release early, release often') approaches to the organization and their work.
- You ll be depended upon for advice regarding containerization trends in the industry, key technologies as well as presenting at conferences and lots of Evangelism for containerization at HPE.
Responsibilities:
- Think through hard problems in a consultancy environment and drive solutions to reality.
- Work in a dynamic & collaborative environment
- Build Container solutions using the latest technologies and tools
- Engage often with customers in all sorts of ways
- Participate in presales and client interactions
- Participate in Container Platform implementation/development projects
- Container Platform & Operations Support
- Build tools to aid & support delivery of projects for Customers & HPE Internal teams
Qualifications:
5 years experience working in IT industry with 3 years in Container Orchestration Platforms & Containerization technologies
Technical / functional background Qualifications:
- In - depth understanding of deployment, administration & operations of Kubernetes Clusters (Open Source Kubernetes, RHOS, Canonical, Rancher or any other enterprise distribution). Experience of Open Source Kubernetes Desirable.
- In - depth understanding of Kubernetes cluster security, storage orchestration, load balancing & scaling, service discovery, rollouts & rollbacks & storage orchestration.
- In - depth knowledge of Docker image build, image versioning, image management pipelines & container security.
- Proficient in Bash or PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of Ruby or Python or Go Programming Languages.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification a plus.
- Docker Certified Administrator (DCA) certification a plus.
- Experience in infrastructure operations (Servers, Storage and Virtualization) a plus.
- Knowledge of working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure).
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent preferred.
- Customer facing experience a plus. Excellent business communication and presentation skills.
- A strong technical foundation in build, release and deployment environments, building & managing CI/CD pipelines.
- An eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done.
- Passion for and ability to design and support robust solutions.
