Job Summary
The Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SSRM) team in NetApp Global Procurement is seeking an experienced Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) professional to lead SSRM?s India-based team.
SRM is the systematic management of supplier relationships to optimize value through cost reduction, innovation, risk mitigation and growth through the relationship cycle.
This is accomplished through developing a mutually beneficially relationship with suppliers.
The SRM process is accomplished through segmentation, governance, and collaboration. Segmentation is the process of categorizing suppliers based upon business impact and risk of supply.
The process identifies those suppliers for which greater focus and management should be applied.
Governance includes activities, which when implemented, protect business interests, mitigate risk and improve supplier performance. Collaboration includes the development of these suppliers as well as sharing of best practices, suggestions for process improvements and working jointly to identify and implement innovation.
Job Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, especially presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.
- Demonstrated experience working with hardware and software development engineers on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs.
- Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.
- Experience in Supplier Management and should be able to advise on pricing models and managed services to various stakeholders
- Familiarity with Procurement, especially with RFP and SOW processes
- Lead and manage SRM issues and initiatives from the India region and keep the SSRM team engaged with proper updates and communication
EducationTypically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor?s degree; or 8 years and a Master?s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
