Urgent Hiring | Test Engineer For a product @ Sourceworks Consulting

Our client, a product MNC, is searching for a talented and passionate Software Test Engineer who have an experiencein Manual & Automated Testing.

You will be a key contributor to the team test strategy. Based on the functional descriptions, you will define test specifications, scripts and make estimations about efforts. You will perform tests on Scrum items, both manually and by automation, and you will continuously optimize and extend the test environment. Your main task will be verifying the user stories by means of accurate software testing methods and methodologies.

Essential functions:

1. Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategies, test conditions and test scripts for projects in an Agile Scrum environment
2. Provide appropriate testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of comprehensive test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps and test automation
3. Define clear expectations for all testing tasks, including inputs and outputs
4. Identify gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability

Experience and skills required:

1. Graduated in technical discipline (BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA/ M.Sc) or equivalent professional experience and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
2. Demonstrates mastery of relevant software testing tools and methodologies (e.g. configuration management systems, debuggers, simulators, testing tools)
3. Must possess experience and/or training in high level computer languages such as C/C++, Java and scripting languages (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, XML and PHP)
4. Must demonstrate proficient ability to capture and document refinements to testing requirements
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Added advantage if you have knowledge/experience on
8. a. Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) project methodologies.
9. b. Basic understanding on GIS, cartography and spatial databases.
10. c. Familiarity with software configuration management tools like SVN, GIT etc.
11. d. Test case management using TestRail
