Backend Engineer - Bangalore @ GetMega

Roles and Responsibilties

- Play a key role working on the backend services and infrastructure that powers Mega
- Build platforms, services, and APIs that are used by other Mega products
- Collaborate with our cross-functional team including product managers, frontend & game engineers to understand their needs

Eligibility

- 2-4 years of experience architecting and maintaining backend systems
- Strong programming skills in Go
- 2-4 years of experience with SQL databases (we use Spanner & Mysql) and other data stores like Redis
- Experience working with Protobufs, gRPC & HTTP/2
- Understanding of modern software engineering practices in areas like CI/CD, test automation, microservices, distributed systems, and data management
- Strong proficiency building services on GCP/AWS. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills to collaborate with a service-oriented team
- Ability to effectively identify and tackle meaningful problems
- Technical vision, ability to understand abstract problems and architect systems that help solve them
- Understanding of complex workflows designed to scale from novice to advance users
- Experience working in fast-paced and execution-focused continuous delivery environments
- A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, and integrity to reach your goals, demonstrating a sense of urgency and ownership
