Job Description/Responsibilities of Staff Nurse

• v Responsible to give direct patient care (Bed making, mouth care, bed bathing, hair wash, change of position etc).
• v Responsible to fulfill all basic needs (hygienic and nutritional needs etc) of the patients.
• v Responsible to provide comfort to the patient and maintain safety of the patient.
• v Responsible to take over the charge from duty nurse of previous shift, regarding patients, instrument supplies, drugs etc and handover the same to the next shift.
• v Responsible for admission and discharge of the patients.
• v Responsible for all fundamental nursing procedure.
• v Responsible for Care of pressures points as needed.
• v Responsible for Care of the dying and dead.
• v Responsible for the administration of Medicines and Injections to the patients.
• v Responsible for the proper waste management as per guidelines
• v Responsible for the Ward Management
