Position Description Overview
Administration and setup of various High Availability clusters on Windows - , SQL Clusters .Installation of IIS, apache tomcat JBoss services and certificate renewals Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all Hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.Monitoring the performance of the servers, proactively identifying issues/abnormalities that may pose a threat to the infrastructureOwn Service Improvements. SW RAID, LVM Configuration. File and Service sharingInstallation / OS Upgradation / Migration / Patch installation of Operating System with different platforms with different service packs and patches to mitigate any existing vulnerability in the system Experience working on WSUS servers and patch Mgmt.In - depth knowledge on working of ESX Server & vCenter ServerAbility to implement AD infrastructure. Proficient in doing Recovery of AD Domain Controllers, DNS,WINS, DHCP serversShould have good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows Load BalancingIn - Depth knowledge of Domain Controllers replication configurations
Job Responsibilities
- Is responsible for maintaining the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the systems environment. Monitors systems, responds to problems and plans for growth. Provides ongoing systems analysis. Assists in designing, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions for business applications. Creates Change plans. Evaluates and integrates new hardware configurations and provides support of client technologies on mainframe platforms and peripherals. Responds to work requests regarding installation, configuration and/or maintenance of client software and the deployment of new technology releases, troubleshooting, and software repair. Performs additional job duties as required.
Job Requirements
- 3 years of related technical experience. BS Degree, Associates or equivalent work experience. Has moderate troubleshooting skills, and must understand local/wide area networking and server hardware/software. Applies moderate technical ability to modify jobs, models, processes, network definitions, and documentation. Utilizes functional knowledge of job flow process to request changes to production schedule for file transmissions. Works across all functional areas of the enterprise, and uses a strong customer services orientation to ensure that all requests and problems are resolved.
