Position Purpose
With limited supervision, participates and leads in providing operating systems design and functional expertise to assist in the development, configuration, deployment, and support of new or upgraded software configurations on Bank of the West desktop, laptops and thin clients. Analyzes proposed new software, and software updates and upgrades, to determine dependencies and impacts to current client endpoint configurations. Works with application development team(s) and/or third party vendors to identify dependencies and/or incompatibilities to ensure stable, secured integration of software and other architectural updates on desktop, laptop and other client devices. Works independently in a fast - paced environment on issues of the highest security/complexity.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Provide Functional expertise in design, development, configuration, deployment and support of new /upgraded software configurations on BOTW desktops, Laptops and Thin clients
Analyses proposed new software updates and upgrades, to determine dependencies and impacts to current client endpoint configurations.
Evaluate project objectives and scope for feasibility
Deploy systems that help mitigate security risks by understanding and controlling what software is allowed to execute on our client devices.
Coordinates with multiple departments for complex issue resolutions based on the prior experience
Perform in - depth analysis of the issues by participating in major/complex projects and review of work products
Deploy tools and automation that proactively detect and respond to security risks and threats to internal corporate services
Advise and collaborate with other teams as client security subject matter experts.
Performs as a resource or leader on desktop change implementations, following Bank of the West change management processes
Maintain good rapport and communication with parties within and outside of the job function/organization (vendors, affiliates etc.)
Provides suggestions on product development, new services and technologies or enhancements to existing systems/configurations which will assist the clients in improving overall service and security posture of the Bank
Works independently in a fast - paced environment on issues of the highest security/complexity.

Technology leadership around virtual enterprise environment and other relevant technologies to the project
Participate and provide oversight to the new strategic initiatives at BNPP/BOTW
Technology consulting and leadership for the sustenance and new strategic/innovation programs
Knowledge on regulatory environment and compliance related issues
Advanced knowledge of datacentre design and operations
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Must have skills:
a) Five or more years of directly related experience in the Clinet/Endpoint Engineering and operations
b) Develops and Review client end point performance results, systems security standards, strategies and workflows
c) Leads the coordination of tasks associated with vulnerabilities and efforts to implement new technologies
d) Develop, validate, and enforce our client security policies
e) Proficient with Splunk Processing Language (SPL) is preferred
f) Experience applying fundamental security concepts to systems
g) Experience with HP Thin clients, Laptops and endpoints along with Linux experience desired
h) Experience/Knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Solaris is a plus
i) Experience/Knowledge of SCCM apps and software update deployments is a plus
j) Remains current on new technology and maintains appropriate certifications (CompTIA A or Network preferred)
k) Performs as a resource or leader on desktop change implementations, following Bank of the West change management processes.
l) Assists in updating knowledge base and technical documentation with troubleshooting and problem resolution information.
m) Assists in expanding the knowledge level of specialty hardware and software to others on the Client Support Services team to ensure cross support of corporate technologies.
n) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
