Job Description

About us:

We are a private equity asset management firm with focus on growth equity and majority ownership/control transactions. We manage a corpus of very patient capital which is devoid of any time related pressures on deployment and exits thereby making investment decisions purely a function of business fundamentals.

Typical Deliverables:

• Aid the investment team in screening, detailed investment analysis and due diligence on investment opportunities
• Assist in managing existing portfolio companies
• Research sectors for investment opportunities and develop investment theses for the Private Equity Fund
• Work on systems and processes related to the activities of the investment team
• Other miscellaneous tasks of managing the Fund operations

Educational Background:

• The candidate should be an MBA (finance) from a tier-1 institute. (IIM's)
• It is preferable if the candidate has an undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, business or engineering from a tier-1 institute. .

Key Skills/Abilities:
The candidate should:

• Have excellent financial modelling and presentation skills (excel and power point)
• Have the ability to conduct primary and secondary research in the context of investment evaluation and come up with crisp, comprehensive reports
• Have a deep understanding of financial statements
• Be able to grasp and understand new business concepts, and scale steep learning curves especially with respect to learning about new sectors, investment theses, etc
• Display maturity, excellent communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence
• Possess a high degree of diligence, personal integrity, and adherence to high ethical standards
• Be an ambitious and inclusive team player
• Have the drive to work with a strong sense of ownership
• Have a bent towards long-term, sustainable businesses

Work experience:

• While we are open to evaluating fresher MBAs, it will be a plus if the candidate has 1-3 years of work experience in private equity, venture capital or investment banking jobs.
