Job Description
Key areas of responsibility:- Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Handles both outpatients and inpatient treatment.
- Escorts residents to physiotherapy department, if required.
- Performs administrative duties such as maintaining statistics, order entry and answering telephone calls.
- Sets up and removes equipment and supplies; ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
- Assess the physical condition of patients / consults the Executive Physiotherapy to diagnose problems, plans appropriate treatment.
- Uses a range of techniques to strengthen and stretch muscles and joints to improve patient mobility.
- Performs spinal and peripheral joint mobilization and manipulation.
- Uses equipment such as heat packs, exercise equipment, ice packs, ultrasound and electrotherapy to ease pain, reduce swelling and improve range movement.
- Re-trains patients to walk or to use devices such as walking frames, splints, crutches and wheelchairs.
- Educates patients, their families and the community to prevent injury and disability and to lead healthy lifestyles.
- Helps implement community fitness programs.
- Consults with physician on resident's progress; maintains appropriate records.
- Participates in educational programs.
- Have Good Communication skills and knowledge
- Only preferred female candidate
- MPT / BPT with minimum 1year Experience
- Diploma/Masters/B.Sc in Physiotherapist
