Job description:
We are looking for a strong and experienced Engineering Manager to join our SW Security Team. The role is a hands-on position with responsibility for development, testing, delivering and supporting high quality software for NCR ATMs.
Key areas of responsibility will include: -
Accountable for the full agile software development life cycle
Planning and controlling the development and workload across the full life-cycle for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
Prepare detailed estimates for new projects and opportunities
Providing performance and personal development to the team to enhance knowledge ensuring quality of outcomes
Manage the portfolio of development activities highlighting risks and issues to allow for timely business decisions to be made
Ensuring effective utilization and scalability of resources to meet business needs
Leads the shaping of software engineering practices and ensures best practices, standards and key metrics are met. Will drive, with the support of others, Continuous Improvement on working practices.
Provide regular reports on development statuses, resourcing and schedules
Collaborate effectively across the wider organisation to ensure all deliverable s are met
Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
Ensure all applications and services output of the team is secure, scalable, easily supportable, high performing and meets user privacy regulations
Ensure a provision of 3rd and 4th line support for solutions and services is enabled
Ensure accurate and up to date technical documentation is maintained
Contribute to solution design, identifying innovative solutions to business requirements, whilst maintaining robust reliable architectural standards
Ensure software development projects are delivered to specification, timeline and budget
Work with leadership and the team to create and embed the core values and culture.
Experience with several of the following modern technologies: C#.NET,C++,Java. EEO Statement
