Desired Candidate Profile
This position will lead & direct a number of important facets of Business - Inventory management, Production planning, RM / PM planning & Distribution across network and across Channels. Special focus on Working Capital (WC) reduction and close monitoring of the Inventory to minimise stock out or overstocking scenarios.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. End to End Planning (Production, Procurement & Distribution) (weightage: 30%)
a. Analyse & translate Sales forecast, provided by business channels into MRP (material resource planning), production & distribution plans
b. Optimise production & distribution planning to replenish stocks, remove inefficiencies or excessive surplus stock (Working Capital Management)
c. Collaborate with various departments including Brand, Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, etc. to ensure monthly and annual business goals are met
2. Inventory Management (Weightage: 20%)
a. Channel level Inventory Management:
i. Design inventory control procedures for all channels for optimal Inventory utilization across network
ii. Anticipate and mitigate risks of stock outs due to delays in production, transit delays, RM/PM unavailability, etc.
iii. Constantly monitor Demand & Sale patterns across channels and define inventory norms for channels
iv. Monitor inventory levels of key SKUs on daily basis to ensure stock availability
b. Brand level Inventory Management:
i. NPD (New Product) Launch Analysis Define first time ordering level & placement
ii. Product Lifecycle Analysis Define & implement norms for product categorization (A/B/C classification) and update it as per recent trends
iii. Define criteria for Discontinuation based on past data and future potential
iv. Plan for Liquidation / Scrap Sale for non-moving stock.
v. Define norms for segregation of RTO/RPU/RTV & reduction in non-saleable stock
3. Project Management (weightage: 30%)
a. Drive Regional Fulfilment across the Supply chain network define norms of inventory replication, considering, both - impact in NPS and Inventory days
b. Build / Implement an Automated Production and Distribution Planning Solution
c. Design Statistical forecasting tool/template for different categories to streamline Channel-wise forecasting process and take intelligent business decisions
d. Drive NPS improvement initiatives across network improvement in consumer experience by improved packaging, etc.
e. Design and scale the Omnichannel Fulfilment Network SDD deliveries across Trainer Channel and B2C network, pan India
4. Business Planning (Long Term) (weightage: 20%)
a. Analyse past sales data and recent trends to define future needs of warehouse capacity & production capacity
b. Overall Cost Benefit Analysis of all current and new categories, taking into account, all intermediate costs Transport, Handling, Storage, Liquidation and Disposal
c. Design and build a long term SCM Network Plan - based on geographical growth and demand patterns
d. Design framework to build-in Market Intelligence in entire Planning process, through data and analytics, to support Brand and Sales Teams
Key Skills Required:
1. Experience in SCM Planning / Inventory Management or similar position
2. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
3. Working knowledge of inventory management software
4. Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
5. An analytical mind with strong mathematical skills
6. Excellent organisational and planning skills
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
8. Good Stake-holder management and influencing skills
9. Graduation / Post Graduation or both from TIER-I college
Education:
UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
