Job Description
Job Responsibilities & Authorities:
- Design and develop electrical products in line with customer requirements and ensure they comply with the relevant/latest regulations.
- Evaluate the efficiency of electrical systems, machinery, components and products.
- Understand design specifications and technical drawings.
- Estimate project timescales, as well as material, construction and labour costs.
- Liaise with client/other members working on the project.
- Attend meetings and give presentations to managers/clients.
- Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
- Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
- Define customer needs and requirements
- Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets
- Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements
- Involved in designing, for detailed electrical engineering activities.
- evaluation and procurement of equipment and materials
- Preparation of Project documents (MR, Data sheets, LOTA, MTO).
- Preparation of Electrical documents (Cable Schedule, Cable Sizing, Earthing calculation, Power & Control JB Wiring, Panel Schedule, Cable Tray Schedule)
- Preparation of Single Line Diagrams.
- Preparation of Design Basis Memorandum, Data sheets, Enquiry & Purchase Specifications along with Sizing calculations for various Electrical equipment like Power and Distribution Transformers.
- Preparation of load list, SLD, Electrical Schematic diagrams.
- Interface with the other engineering disciplines to ensure a coordinated design and that project engineering deliverable are completed.
- Interface with project team and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and prepare procurement (bid) documentation & technical specifications
Key Skills /abilities:
- Experience in Detailed Engineering Activities for EPC & EPCM Projects
- Familiar with IEC, IS, CSA Standards
- Preparation of Analysis of load flow, voltage drops, fault current, transient, impact of major motors, lighting illumination levels.
- Having Knowledge of Rotating Equipment's like Compressors, Chillers , Pumps , Blowers , Actuators etc
- Preparation of SLDs, Schematics & Power/earthing & Lighting Layouts.
- Preparation of Electrical calculations.
