Principal Test Engineer - Chennai @ Technicolor

Job Responsibilities
Identify the gaps in setting up the test lab and build a test lab with right equipment and resources
Improve the quality, reliability and performance of the software system
Build and lead the test team to the success of the project
Define the scope of testing within the context of each release delivery
Deploy and Manage resources for testing
the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the testing Team
Plan, deploy and manage the testing effort for any given engagement
Drive and involve in Test automation, Continuous integration
Drive and involve in Test tool development and usage
Early risk detection and identification of solution
Organize and control the testing process
Ensure visibility, traceability and control of testing process to deliver high quality software

Technical Skills
Must have broad awareness of testing approaches, practices and techniques in order to
help design and deliver the overall testing methodology used by the team
Work experience on designing test frameworks for test automation and testing in
General.
Deep Technical specialist focusing on Design, implementation, Use, enablement of the
testing function
Work experience of co-ordinating testing with release processes
Knowledge and understanding at a deeper level on all kinds of test activities processes.
Hands on experience on one or more - Python, Shell, TCL, Pearl, Jscript, Java Script
Hands on testing experience on Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Fiber testing tools and technologies
including wireless routers, extenders
Hands on testing experience on Broadband tools and technologies including
Cable Modems, Gateways, IP Clients and EMTAs
Hands on experience on tools & test equipment like Spirent, CDRouter, Iperf, snmp,
T-Rex, Wifi chamber, Airpcap, Wireshark
Experience in DOCSIS 3.03.1 and PC 1.5 2.0 test procedures and execution
Experience in Fiber technologies (FiberPONDPOEOLTONU) is an added advantage
Experience in testing stacks like Homeware (OpenWRT), RDK-BM, CCSP,
Broadcom SDKs, OpenBFC
Strong knowledge of WiFi technology & standards, experience building specific
WiFi features, worked on WiFi enabled products both as APClient
