Job Description
The eCD will work with members of the IT Team to examine written and/or video content produced by other team members for conversion to online courses. The eCD will convert written training material to eLearning courses using the Articulate Storyline 3 program. This role will also be responsible for applying changes to courses based on peer, management, business SME, and technical feedback.
The eCD will upload eLearning courses; manage users and course assignments and create reports. This role is responsible for managing course versions to ensure current system functionality is available, coordinate new and update content based on SDLC and create new users, and user groups and associated course assignments for the user groups. The eCD will track user progress, including outstanding / overdue assignments, course completions, and compliance. The eCD will also send reports to appropriate leadership, including course evaluation reports, completion reports, delinquent reports, and ad hoc.
The eCD will conduct peer reviews of written content from a users perspective. The eCD will suggest process improvements to benefit the team in terms of efficiency and quality. The eCD will also contribute to the overall design, development, flow, and user experience of the online learning.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have at least 1 portfolio project with narration to evaluate is required
Experience in at least 1 eLearning tool (Articulate pref.)
At least one of these is required: technical writing, course design, curriculum design, voiceover
Multiple e-learning courses for different user groups is preferred
Video production and/or graphic design experience is preferred
Teaching and/or training experience in some capacity is preferred
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems is required
Proficient technical skills to conceptually understand LMS architecture and segmentation is required
Business communications aptitude and experience is required
Experience creating consumable and actionable reports is required
Experience managing users in an LMS is preferred
Basic acceptance testing skills is preferred
Basic editing / proofreading experience is required
Professional peer review experience is preferred.
Minimum Required Education And Experience
1-2 years or equivalent working knowledge of industry experience as an effective eLearning content developer.
Clinical research business knowledge is preferred.
Major Skills Required: Photoshop, Flash, Articulate Storyline 3, Techsmith Camtasia, knowledge in SCORM, SoundForge or any other sound editing tool, iSpring QuizMaker.
