Job Description

Administrative
  • To ensure smooth working and monitoring the performance of all the departments.
  • Monitoring all the activities relating to patient care and treatment.
  • Controlling and ensuring that SOPs and Policies are followed without any room for manipulation or avoidance.
  • Ensuring renewal of all hospital related licenses timely.
  • Liasoning with clinical heads and non clinical heads for better patient care.
  • Ensure the safety, security, health and environment of customers, employees and the assets of the company.
  • Building relationship with other dignitaries in the hospital industry, referral doctors, statutory authorities, government health departments, external agencies etc.
  • Building relationship & Liasoning with Top Govt. officials.
  • Managing the hospital's stakeholders.
  • Ensuring smooth functioning of critical areas such as Operation Theaters, Intensive Care areas, admission, reception, ER by supervising and coordinating with respective departmental heads.
  • Reporting various reports & MIS to the Corporate periodically.
  • Addressing patient complaint and responding to the complaint within mimimum time.
  • Liasoning with the outsourced companies for better functioning.
  • Ensuring all the legal and statutory compliances mandatory by the State& central govt. related to hospital and the employees.
  • To focus and strategize activities for increased customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting medical and non medical audit.
  • Creating condusive environment for compilation of fair patient feedback and implementing actions based on the patient feedback.
  • Ensuring ethical practices in the unit.

Interaction

  • Conducting periodic meetings and discuss regarding following points
  • All incidents that have occurred in the hospital recently
  • Training, problem solving, service recovery (dealing with irate customers etc)
  • Manpower allocation and addressing other issues in wards.
  • Meeting with ward managers to get inputs on patients/discharge etc.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, quality standards and protocols are followed.
  • Meet with concerned dept HODs to get information on duty rooster for doctors.
  • Meet with Nursing head to understand the outcome indicators (like patient coming back to ICU after being sent to ward, preoperative deaths, infections, ventilator assistance for pneumonia etc.) and any untoward incidents at night.
  • Meeting with the consultants of all specialities monthly and addressing their issues.
  • Attending management meetings and other medical or departmental related committees.
  • Interaction with Staff members and addressing the staff frequently to maintain personal touch with the personnel.
  • Dealing with queries of patient's relatives and solving their concerns.
  • In case of critical matters, meeting with patient & patient's relatives personaly.

Revenue, Settlement & Asset Management

  • Ensure the achievement of the Annual Revenue Target for all specialties.
  • Achievement of Targeted EBITDA.
  • Specialy targeting activities aimed to generate revenue from Diagnostics and Homecare.
  • To keep average manpower cost per occupied bed minimum.
  • Monitoring Income and expenses of nearby Shalby OPD.
  • Managing overall expenses of the units.
  • Controlling and closely monitoring any activity of Revenue Loss & Concession.
  • Reducing days of sales outstanding.
  • Settling all pending payments in minimum time.
  • Collection of dues in minimum time.
  • Managing the unit's assets and tracking its value from time to time.
  • Responsible for any loss/damage of any valuable asset of the company.
  • Maintaining and regulating the manpower & outsourced cost within the approved limit.
  • Ensuring timely payment of doctor's salary.
  • Ensuring timely payment of outsourced agencies.

Marketing

  • Closely working with Corporate Development team to implement marketing strategies.
  • To assist the Corporate Development team to achieve the budgeted figure.
  • Organizing CME, health talks and camps at corporate locations.
  • Facilitating brand management activities.
  • Building unit based marketing strategies specially targeting Homecare and Diagnostics.
  • Ensuring successful corporate tie ups.
  • Formulating marketing strategies from time to time focusing each specialty.
  • Promote and monitoring no. of conversions from Internal marketing.

People Management

  • Responsible for obtaining Senior Management Team approval and funding for proposed strategies and plans and welfare projects.
  • Responsible for criticalinterfacing internally withall departments and functions.
  • Ensuring doctor's availability for patients.
  • Ensuring that only trained staff works in patient care area.
  • Addressing grievances of the personnel.
  • Facilitating all employee engagement activities.
  • To keep attrition rate minimum and promote multitasking.
  • Ensuring efficient utilization of outsourced manpower.
  • Selection of appropriate medical and non medical staff.

Clinical

  • Monitoring quality indicators related to clinical
  • Monitoring average length of stay of patients.
  • Ensure that all the critical incidences are reported on time and actions are taken for the same.
  • Driving NABH implementation and audit.

Other Responsibility

  • Taking Initiatives to improve patient care, improve safety and employee engagement.
  • Timely Renewal of various insurance of assets and CMC/AMC for the equipment.
  • Monitoring preventive/breakdown maintenance of CMC/ AMC covered equipments.
  • Taking ownership of the company's valuable assets.
  • Studying the MIS & reports related to hospital and implement actions plans.
  • Maintaining the equipments through the in- house biomedical team.
  • Developing an environment of empowered and enjoyable workplace.
  • Taking strict actions agianst any indisciplinary actions by the personnel.
  • Implementation of Shalby Standard SOPs and ensuring adherence to the Policies.
  • Promoting brand Shalby.
