Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- In depth knowledge of key AWS services (EC2,ECS, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
- Proven experience assessing on-prem workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability and help business migrate to cloud
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint
- Define Migration strategy to move application to cloud
- Should have prior experience of migration on-premise workloads onto AWS.
- Ability to guide developers and resolve technical issues when encountered
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders within organization.
- Experience to build secure and scalable production systems (load balancers, autoscaling architectures)
- Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
- Experience using CI/CD pipeline to deploy AWS infrastructure and automated application deployment
- Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell,Lamda).
- Hands on experience in Cloud Formation or Terraform
- Experience migrating Healthcare Validated GxP applications to cloud
- Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc
- Design the HA / DR strategies
- Set up process, services and tools around cloud
- Oversee build of the environment
- Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls
Experience Required
Experience: 10+ years, relevant: 3-5 years
Mandatory skills
- 5+ years of current AWS solutions architecture (implementation/consulting) experience
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background highly desired.
- Working knowledge of software development practices and Internet-related technologies highly desired.
AWS Solution Architect Certification mandatory
