Job Description

Greetings of the day!

We are Opening for GT Commissioning & Startup (C&SU) Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Should have minimum 5 years of experience in Siemens gas turbine preferably in 2000E frame
  • Should perform the electrical testing (with or without subcontractor) for all the electrical equipment in accordance with Siemens codes & standards.
  • Should certified from Siemens for working on Siemens GTs as a commissioning engineer preferably on 2000E frame.
  • Should perform precommissioning and commissioning electrical activities includes the equipment testing, component testing, cable tests, panel tests, grid code testing, energization of the equipment, function tests, relay protection checks, Generator tests, Synchronization, control checks, hot loops with DCS etc.
  • Should coordinate with Lead C&SU Electrical Engineer for manpower, subcontractor and electrical testing/C&SU activities.
  • Should conduct joint walkdowns with construction department for the system handover.
  • Should support in preparing the commissioning procedures for electrical systems for clients approval. (if applicable)
  • Should follow and track the electrical precommissioning and C&SU as per the directions from Lead C&SU Electrical Engineer and coordinate it with electrical construction department.
  • Should commission the equipment or systems in accordance with the approved procedures and Site HSE standards.
  • Should lead the field C&SU activities for Siemens gas turbine and generator.
  • Should follow and participate in the field LOTO activities.
  • Should coordinate with engineering/design company and Siemens back office in case of design errors, changes, validation etc.
  • Should coordinate with construction department for any design modifications or other requirements.
  • Should markup all the electrical drawings in case of changes and submit the as-builts to engineering/design company or Siemens for approval and revisions.
  • Should follow up on the pending issues with vendor or design company, pending materials etc and bring any critical issue to Lead C&SU Electrical Engineers attention.
  • Should troubleshoot the issues or problems found during testing or commissioning and achieve the solution in reasonable manner.
  • Should perform and/or organize proper preventive maintenance for the electrical equipment as per the Vendor O&M Manuals and archive the maintenance records.
  • Should conduct proper training to Clients operators for electrical system/equipment operation.
  • Should maintain coordination with other disciplines for the system commissioning.
  • Should coordinate with HSE department during commissioning and bring any unsafe place or activity to their attention.

Should support operation and maintenance of the electrical system/equipment which is commissioned.
