Role: Team Lead - Design & Manufacturing Simulation Department

Job Location: Bengaluru

Experience Range: 4 7 Years

Education Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Industrial Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead a team of engineers to conceptualize and design tools, fixtures, conveyors, End of Arm Tooling and other peripheral equipments for automation systems to be deployed across industries like automotive, foundry, packaged consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, heavy engineering, locomotives, construction equipment, etc.,

You will be a member of our engineering team co-crafting innovative automation systems and solutions. To excel in this role, you should have good design fundamentals, creative flair and strong attention to detail. You will collaborate with robotics and controls engineers on various automation projects, using in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends and engineering software (2D/3D CAD, Design Simulation & Manufacturing Simulation) to come up with innovative solutions.

• Design new engineering products and processes for automation
• Identify solutions to improve production efficiency
• Design validation using DFMEA tools
• 3D modelling, assembling, detailed part drawings, BOM creation and release for manufacturing
• Create pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
• Estimate cost / design within budget
• Working with suppliers for manufacturing of designs as per design intent
• Guide assembly team during integration activities and provide Commissioning assistance
• Implement standards and discipline in the design & assembly processes
• Implement design automation
• Research new & Improve existing product ideas and methods
• Robot simulation & offline programming
• Ensure compliance with the industrys safety standards
• Maintain accurate records and data management
• Create documents & reports
• Find creative design solutions to problems
• Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers
• Commissioning assistance
• Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers, and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years experience in designing automation systems
• Sound Knowledge of GD&T
• Proficiently use design tools like SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, MATLAB and ANSYS
• Exposure to manufacturing simulation software like ROBOGUIDE / RobotStudio / KUK.Sim Pro/ Visual Components/ Robcad/ Process Simulate
• Exposure to robot-based automation process like spot welding, arc welding, machine tending, gluing, fastening, etc.
• Good listening, communication & presentation skills
• Tolerance of ambiguity, and commitment to task.
• Teamwork and leadership skills.
• Prioritize the work among competing priorities
