Job Description
Main purpose of the role
Defining, coordinating and monitoring all mobile health activities to support health programs, according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures, in order to ensure quality medical care for patients and their communities and to improve the health condition of the population.
General accountabilities
- Identifying the needs of the health support in the target population
- Participating in the definition, planning and updating of the MSF strategy for the mobile health activities
- Supervising the mobile health activities and the appropriate use of medical device
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance, collecting and analysing data
- Ensuring continuous networking and active search for project partners
- Planning and supervising the associated HR processes in coordination with HR department
Specific responsibilities for COVID-19 intervention
- To plan the OPD and IPD activities
- To supervise the doctors (OPD and IPD), make their duty roster and ensure compliance
- To ensure that the medical protocols are followed in patient management
- To go on field visits to supervise the OPD and fever clinic activities
in the community - To audit the rational prescription of drugs
- To conduct regular meetings with the doctors and other teams
- To arrange backup of doctors in case of any absence due to any reason
- To ensure proper clinical documentation
- To ensure the strict infection control protocol is followed by the doctors
- To work closely with the mental health supervisor
- To facilitate capacity building by trainings for the team
- To troubleshoot any arising issues to the Medical Activity Manager
- To participate in the budget analysis, forecast process and reporting
- To be a good team player and to coordinate other team members
Qualifications:
- Medical doctor [MBBS/MD] - Essential
- Specialization in community medicine [Diploma or Masters in Public Health, Family medicine] - Desirable
- Specialization or training in Tropical Medicine or related studies - Desirable
Experience:
- 2 years of experience related to the diploma/degree - Essential
- Previous experience in similar managerial role - Essential
- Previous experience with MSF or similar organization - Desirable
Languages:
- English and local languages (Hindi and/or Marathi) - Essential
Due to the current lockdown and the urgency of this position, it is important that applicants live in or around Mumbai. We arrange transportation for our staff as long as there is no public transport.
As this recruitment is for a specific emergency response on COVID-19, it is important that staff only apply for this position if they do not have one of the major risk factors for COVID, namely existing cardiac complications, diabetes, hypertension, pregnancy or age > 55 years.
Benefits (Non-negotiable)
Monthly Gross Salary: INR 81,415 and
Secondary Benefits (pro rata) as per policies:

Duration: 3 months (renewable depending upon project needs)
