What you need to know:
Preparation & review of NMJE for all the transactions made every quarter
Perform and review sub ledger functions and reconciliations to assist with accounting activity and quarterly closings.
Compile and analyze financial information to support preparation and posting of entries to general ledger accounts.
Ensure timely confirmation of balances (premiums, claims, premiums adjustments, commission, brokerage, taxes, funds held, etc.) in accordance with contract terms and department procedures.
Supervise basic and medium complexity tasks performed by other team members
Maintain a strong financial control infrastructure
Assist all auditors with their requirements on a timely basis
Prepare required reports to help treasury maintaining their cash flow for international business Supervise basic and medium complexity tasks performed by other team members

Help to resolve re - insurance related SOX control issues as directed

Prepare required CAT confirmation templates for International CATs & provide RO vs PO comparison
Preparation & review of unapplied cash report to determine aged balances and work with counter parties for timely closure

What we re looking for:
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and/or Statutory Accounting Principles
Solid understanding of reinsurance contracts and contract wording
Strong control environment background and expertise with a focus on right first time, on time
Ability to explain complex financial information to non - financial colleagues
Significant and complex financial analysis of activities, projects and plans
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written skills are essential
Team player with history of building collaborative working relationships
Good time management skills - ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines
Ability to work in dynamic environment driving for improvements and change
3 + years Accounting experience. Also 1+ years experience in reinsurance.
University graduate. Business / Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Experience working in a multinational financial services firm, preferably insurance or reinsurance
Fluent English and other language preferred but not required
Experience of delivering diverse financial information requirements in a complex organisation
Operational experience with U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
Excellent MS Excel knowledge with experience using pivot tables, v - look - ups and data management and presentation (report preparation and related presentation). Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Access and Visio preferred.
