Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (anm) Ipd - Mumbai @ Doctors Without

Main accountabilities

• Assisting the nurse in organizing and providing care and treatments to patients, respecting at all times the rules of hygiene, safety, comfort, dignity and patient confidentiality. Giving response to nurse's requirements in case of an emergency.
• The nurse assistants will be working directly with a senior nurse and will look after a group of patients assigned to them during each shift, working both day shifts and night shifts in the same pattern as the other clinical staff.
• In an isolation facility to treat COVID 19 there will be strict rules on infection prevention and control which will mean that patients are not allowed to have their family as caretakers on the ward.
• Receive the patient in the ward, provide instructions to patients about different things to take care at the time of admission, give them hospital clothes to change, take vitals , BMI.
• To help in sample collection.
• To help in triaging activity in the OPD as needed.
• Help in maintaining records in registers.
• Participate in daily meetings.

Qualifications: ANM with Maharashtra nursing council registration

Experience: Desirable working experience of at least two years in the similar field. Experience in Public Health system / other NGOS will be an advantage.

As this recruitment is for a specific emergency response on COVID-19, it is important that staff only apply for this position if they do not have one of the major risk factors for COVID namely existing cardiac complications, diabetes, hypertension, pregnancy or age > 55 years.

Due to the current lockdown and the urgency of this position, it is important that applicants live in or around Mumbai. We arrange transportation for our staff as long as there is no public transport.

Monthly Gross Salary: INR 27,644 and

Secondary Benefits (pro rata) as per policies:
