Job Description
Responsibilities:
Improve quality processes and automation
Conduct cloud based performance and security testing for international markets while taking into consideration the band width constraints, languages, content types in various countries
Functional manual and automation testing and verifying all areas of the InXero products, applications, widgets
Write Test Plan, test cases, test scripts
Set up and configure testing environments
Track and verify software defects
Analyze user feedback and identify usability issues and quality issues and trends
Work with the development team to program various automated test scripts within the Ruby On Rails environment. And with the engineering and product teams to define new regression test cases and continually improve the quality of our software and services
Required Skills:
B-Tech in Computer Science - MS is a plus
Hands on automation, performance and security testing experience
Hands on QA process management experience
Hands on experience using agile methodology
Able to understand & refine requirements (both explicit & implicit)
Able to write test plans and cases independently for functional & non-functional requirements independently.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational data structures
Ability to analyze defects / test results and be able to deduct the chain of events leading to a failure
Experience translating a product definition (use-cases/stories, reqs, etc. ) into test cases
Self-starting nature with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup environment
Experience in automation testing through scripting and third party tools
Passion for breaking the system to identify the potential area of failure from functional and usability perspective
4 to 7 years of experience
Desired Skills:
Experience in testing Web 2. 0 applications
1 years of hands of experience in the similar role (Automation, performance testing etc) at leading product companies preferably web2. 0 companies such as Yahoo, Google, LinkedIn, BigFlix, Facebook or companies like HCL, GloballLogic who may have done Web2. 0 product implementations for their customers
Knowledge of testing LinkedIn, Facebook applications and external interfaces with sites such as Twitter, SlideShare etc
Knowledge of testing rich internet applications (RIA - Flash, Flex, Ajax, HTML5)
Knowledge of conducting usability testing
Knowledge of performance testing is a plus
Knowledge of security testing is a plus
Experience in testing alpha, beta product rollouts
