THE POSITION REPORTS TO Managing Director / as per the current Organization structure
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Summary:
Manages sales of the company s products and services in within a defined geographic area,province or country.
Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of
Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
Primary responsibilities:
Collaborates with the Sales-Head in establishing sales goals for his team.
Manages an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.
Other responsibilities:
Provide inputs to Sales-Head for the formulation of sales policies and procedures.
Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates
sales price and discounts in consultation with
Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support
Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company.
Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue
Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company s products.
Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
Collaborates with the Sales-Head to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in
Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging
products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
Develop pricing schedules and rates
Collaborates with the Sales-Head to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
Reviews expenses and makes recommendation to the management for cost-control.
Holds regular meeting with sales staff.
Generate timely MIS and plan through budgets.
Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis to identify sales opportunities
Responsible for Customer Satisfaction survey
Track, collate and interpret sales figures
Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue
Develop promotional ideas and material.
Attend trade meetings and industry conventions
Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts.
Timely collection of receivables
Periodic Reconciliation of Accounts receivables
Responsible for Credit rating
Delegate responsibility for customer accounts to sales
Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team
Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual salespeople
Ensure sales team have the necessary resources to perform
Evaluate performance of sales staff
Provide feedback, support and coaching to the sales team.
Plan and direct sales team training
Guide, mentor and responsible for the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team.
Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff s
Provide trainings, educational workshops and challenging opportunities for enhancing career growth of employees.
Develop proper reward mechanism in co-ordination with Sales
Head to appreciate the contributions and accomplishments of
Develop performance improvement plan for sales team to meet performance goals.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
a) Qualifications:
Masters / Bachelors Degree, preferably with a specialization in Sales and Marketing.
At least 5years of relevant experience in Logistics / Courier and Cargo
