Job Description

Pragya invites applications for the following position:
Position: Senior Team Member, Disaster Management
Location: Gurgaon, India, with travel to remote underserved areas in India
The member will give thematic inputs for Programs on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and WASH, and will facilitate implementation of related projects through field offices and partners. The position will also involve interfacing with different stakeholders including Government for the purpose of the project.
Candidates should be energetic, have a relevant post-graduate degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the development sector, specifically in the thematic areas of Disaster Management, Water and Sanitation and Appropriate Technology. Candidates must possess a reasonable command on integrated rural development projects, a very good understanding of the sector and the policies, and a good command over English language.
The job involves:
a. Project Calibration: Taking stock of project progress and providing appropriate guidance to field offices and partners.
b. Technical inputs: Carrying out detailed design for project elements and providing specialised, technical inputs for the project activities.
c. Documentation and interfacing: Responsible for all compliances, reports and communication with stakeholders.
