 Senior Telephony Engineer ( Avaya ) - Gurgaon

Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity to join our busy Gurgaon office asSenior Telephony Engineer. You'll work as part of a geographically dispersed IT team to provide Avaya telephony support and service, enabling Webhelp's IT Infrastructure to run effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing, managing and monitoring the core Webhelp Telephony Infrastructure for on premise locations (multiple sites across Webhelp Group mostly in European and African region).


We are looking for a top-class candidate with the following skills and experience

  • Prior experience of supporting multiple telephony system in a contact centre environment
  • Process driven candidate with 7-10+ years strong technical experience in Avaya telephony support (expertise in Avaya solutions & components: AMS, ASM, SMGR, AES, US, CMS, ACCCM, AEP etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of relevant systems (e.g. NICE inContact, FreeSWITCH, Asterisk or other relevant telephony products)
  • In-depth knowledge of contact centre telephony technology and processes and how these can be improved through exploiting existing technologies and introducing new solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of SIP protocol
  • Knowledge of Unix-like operating systems
  • Technical troubleshooting of routine hardware and software issues courteously and expeditiously
  • Ensure adherence to Security Practice to different regulatory/client requirements (ISO 27001, PCI etc.)
  • Clear and concise communication skills to all levels of staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and support operational requirements within short timescales
  • Results focused and committed to high personal standards and a desire to develop via self-study and formal training
  • Develop and organize materials, visual aids, and other documentation
  • Fluent in English is essential. French is a major plus. Other European languages are a plus (Spanish/German/Dutch)
  • SBC (Session Border Controller) is a plus
  • A strong AVAYA AACC knowledge is a plus
