Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• DevOps Engineer will be responsible for design, development and testing of company Products
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code independently and without too much supervision
• Ensure designs of new components are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce product releases of software components
• Should be able analyses the code to investigate and fix issues reported in the existing application.
  

Desired Technical skill set

• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Apache Solr
• Capability to implement new web services on top of lucene/solr classes
• Capability to manage, modify and enhance core Apache Solr modules
• Good knowledge of Apache Tomcat/ Jetty
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative/complementary technologies such as Kafka/SolrCloud/Spark and suggest improvements over the existing implementation
• Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, AWS and Mongo DB will be an added plus
