HR Manager/ Dy. Manager SAP HR Implementation Specialist, Mumbai(A Prestigious & Very Large Engineering & Construction Group)

Post: HR Manager/ Dy. Manager SAP HR Implementation Specialist
Location: Mumbai
Qualifications: Any graduate, plus an MBA/PGDM in HR (full-time)
Experience: 7 to 12 years experience:
- Either: As SAP HR Functional Consultant in SAP/IT Consulting company, having managed 2-3 live SAP-HR implementation projects; who is now seeking to make a stable career in HR talent acquisition & generalist role.
- Or: As HR Manager/Dy Manager/Assistant Manager Human Resources in large/ mid-sized EPC/ Construction/ Turnkey Projects companies, or Engineering/ Manufacturing organisations having multi-division/ multi-location operations where s/he should have successfully led implementation of SAP HR (at least one full cycle); and should have recruited engineers at all levels senior, middle and juniors.
Experience/ knowledge in hiring Project Heads/ Project Managers/ Construction Managers/ Design Managers/ MEP Managers or Engineers, etc. would be advantageous (though not essential) Some exposure to other areas of HR management (viz., performance management, training and development, employees life cycle management, HR MIS) is desirable.
Other Requirements:- Pleasant personality, and excellent communication, and well-developed people/interpersonal skills, tact to be able to deal with a variety of people internally and externally at all levels
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of working on ERP preferably SAP-HR would be a plus point.
- S/he should be ready to travel, as frequent travel would be required to different offices, project sites;
- Either gender may apply, though suitable male candidates may be preferred.
Role: Initially to implement SAP HR module in the engineering and construction business group on all India basis; and later, post SAP roll-out, be part of the mainstream HR function (talent acquisition focussed, plus other HR generalist roles (30%) - to hire, develop, and retain the best human talent.
Responsibilities:
I) Initial phase SAP HR Implementation- a. As HR representative, champion, and actively work with the companys IT team and consultants in implement and rolling out SAP HR on pan-India basis across all regional offices and project sites to cover all processes across entire facet of HR work (right from on-boarding, engagement, training and development, performance management systems, payroll, superannuation, and exit)
- b. Design and implement a robust HR MIS in SAP HR.
- c. Migrate legacy HR data on SAP HR, test, roll-out, and troubleshoot.
- d. Train users and handhold in operating SAP HR; and improve usage of the SAP HR.
- e. Customise the required processes desired by management, with the help of IT team and consultants.
- f. Map the legacy HR processes and align and map the same with SAP HR
II) Later phase (Post SAP Roll-out) Talent Acquisition focussed, HR Generalist Role
1. Talent Acquisition/Recruitment (70%):- a. Independently managing end-to-end talent acquisition/recruitment process from receipt of requisition from departmental heads to preparing JD, job posting, search, collation, preliminary interview and shortlisting, to co-ordinating final interviews, salary negotiation, offer roll-out, and successful on-boarding.
- b. On-boarding and induction.
- c. Direct hiring by self as well as through consultants/vendors
- d. Managing consultants/vendors.
2. HR Generalist (30%):- a. Performance management system (PMS)
- b. Training and Development
- c. Employee Relation, Engagement, and Grievance handling
- d. Payroll and salary disbursement
- e. Employees life cycle management
