Job Description

Manager wanted for shelter which houses primarily dogs and other rescued animals.

Shall be incharge of day to day running and management of the shelter.

Shall oversee staff of 5 shelter workers and their duties, timings, shifts etc.

Shall report to management daily on upkeep and health of the animals.

Shall accompany all animals on veterinary visits.

Shall maintain complete health records, vaccination, blood tests, de-worming of each animal.

Shall suggest cost cutting measures for running the shelter in an efficient manner.

Shall suggest improvements and SOPs for daily operations of the shelter.

Shall lead adoption drives organised/participated by the shelter.

Shall maintain records of adoptions and carry our wellness check visits when needed.

Required Candidate profile

Must love dogs.

Must be ready to re-locate to Mohali, Punjab (Chandigarh Area)

Must have atleast 5 years of experience in veterinarian or shelter or animal welfare set up.

Must have basic medical knowledge acquired from experience in handling animals.

Preferably well versed in MS word, excel and basic internet skills like email and social media.

Excellent leadership skills needed along with ability to work independently with dedication, commitment.
