 Software Engineer - Customer Support

Job Description

  • Manage customer trouble tickets
  • Installation of new software releases, patches on customer systems
  • Commissioning of new customer sites - design the deployment, preparing configuration scripts, ensuring seamless provisioning, verification of call flows and accurate reporting
  • Level 1 and 2 support for field issues, follow up with level 3 and responding to customer queries
  • User manual updates
  • Quality testing when and where relevant for commissioning, installations
  • Participate in customer design discussions, emergency escalations and root cause analysis

Required Candidate profile

  • 2 or more years of experience in customer support of networking products
  • Shouldbe OK to travel onsite for project commissioning
  • Well versed with managing trouble tickets for customer issues
  • Hands on experience of maintaining service level agreements (SLA), monitoring KPI and required reporting
  • Prior experience of creating configuration scripts, MoPs and ATPs
  • Should have good experience in working on Linux platforms, shell scripting, spreadsheets, graphs/plots
  • At least one year experience of supporting core network devices like MSS/HSS/HLR/SMSC
  • Understanding of telecommunication product deployment lifecycle, interoperability, migrations, and software release/patch upgrades
  • Good understanding of IP protocol and routing
  • Experience on signaling protocols like SS7, SIGTRAN and Diameter will be preferred
  • Understanding of virtualization and telco cloud platforms
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal is must
  • For senior position should have worked at leadership position for at least one year
