Job Description

The Nokia Software CELPS group is seeking an optimistic, proactive engineer to fill a services development position for Nokia SAM. This important position is an individual contributor for customization / development and testing activities based in Bangalore for Nokia SAM. Main responsibilities related to this position are software development activities such as design, coding and bug fixing as well as integration tests for new or patch releases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to) the following:

  • Responsible for development and testing of features and solutions for subscriber and services provisioning into LTE, IMS, 3G, GSM network elements.
  • Understand the requirements specifications, analyze the requirements, prepare feature Specifications, implement the requirements and delivery the software to the Quality Assurance team.
  • Address the issue found during development, system testing, deployment and production phases.
  • Interact with system engineers, system testing engineers, support teams and deliver the resolutions.
  • Coordinate MR/AR evaluation/debugging with system test / support team members.
  • Complete evaluation/debugging/recreation of all referred Modification Requests (MRs) and deliver the resolution.
  • Support customer installation of product software
  • Participate in calls/conferences/discussions with support team regarding Assistance Requests (ARs) / outstanding issues.
  • Adhere to Nokia/CELPS Quality Management System processes
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering/Computer Science.
  • S trong individual contributor with 3-8 years of relevant development experience in Java.
  • Strong understanding of OOPs concepts & Programming experience on Java
  • Scripting Experience on writing Shell
  • Operating systems working knowledge of Linux (RHEL)
  • Good knowledge on apache web server and tomcat
  • Good database knowledge on Oracle database and SQL
  • Telecom Domain Awareness on IMS, LTE, 3g, GSM
  • Good knowledge of XML, SOAP, REST
  • Experience in design, development, testing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required; team interaction is critical
  • Adaptability/versatility in performing a variety of functions.
  • Able to work with little supervision to address the issues as they arise.
