Project Associate - IT - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ IT Change

Job Description

1. Job Profile:

1. Conducting (face to face and through online webinars) training programs for teachers, teacher educators across different colleges, schools as well as government and non-government officials in using and deploying different software applications, including educational applications

2. Editing and uploading resources on Moodle and Mediawiki-based websites

3. Coordinating with colleges, schools and education institutions on ICT-Integrated programs

4. Visit schools regularly to support the team to run programs smoothly and support teachers on hardware and software installation at partner institutions

5. Installing, configuring, using, and troubleshooting different software applications. We work with a wide variety of software applications in different areas, including Desktop publishing, multimedia, website management, apart from the operating system, office suite etc.

6. Providing technical support to schools and other institutions in using different free software applications

7. Configuration and maintenance of the Internet, network LAN WAN in office, and in other workshop places

8. Developing/customizing websites using Drupal, Wordpress and Mediawiki software to build and maintain websites

9. Customizing Operating System of Linux as per the users requirements.

Education Qualification:
BE or Diploma (CS/EC or any IT related branch), BCA, BSc (Computer science), Hardware training certifications will also be considered.

1. Experience and Skills:

1. 2-5 years in a similar job providing technical support

2. Candidates should be fluency in English and Kannada - speaking, reading and writing and good communication skills
3. Candidate needs to have some knowledge about Linux and other FOSS tools

4. Candidates should be willing to travel around Karnataka and India

5. Candidate needs to be interested to participate in training prorgrams on different software

6. Willingness to learn new technologies and tools, especially Free and Open Source Software

7. Working knowledge of the installation of computer hardware/software

8. Age preference between 25 and 30 years.
