Job Description

Develop hydraulic and other upgrade solutions for a wide range of pump issues related to complex, highly engineered pumps.

Perform your role as a subject matter expert and provide engineering support to salesmen in the field.

Mentor/develop younger engineers in our after market businesss.

Oversee Drafting to ensure consistent processes/procedures are being followed in accord with corporate standards and policies.

Day to day engineering support in the shop, giving input on new opportunities and proposals, providing instructions and guidance to the shop floor addressing customer questions and issues when they arise.

Foster a spirit of cooperation between Engineering, Operations and Sales.

Be a part of Hydro's Senior Engineering Team on corporate wide goals.

Work with Engineering Director on other corporate-wide initiatives to strengthen and extend our engineering services

to support Hydro's continued growth.

Development of a pump upgrade manual.

Documentation of disassembly, assembly and repair procedures for different types/styles of pumps.

Developing case studies and techniical papers for publication in trade magazines and presentation at various technical pump forums.

Participating in annual Engineering semi annual Operations meetings, strengthening the ties between Engineering and Operations.

Requiremnts:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

7+years of 2D and 3D CAD/ SolidWorks experience.

7+ years working as a Pump Engineer in a custom job shop facility.

7+years in the aftermarket pump industry.
