Assistant Manager (Biologist) Garo Hills - Wildlife Trust of India
Assistant Manager (Biologist) Garo Hills Assistant Manager (Biologist) Garo Hills Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) invites applications from individuals with at least 5 years of experience as Biologists for our Garo Green Spine Conservation Project in Tura, Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
Who were looking for As our Assistant Manager you will be responsible for field / on - site implementation of the project in association with the Reporting Manager and in line with the scientific and technical plan and all administrative and financial requirements of the Project Head (PH). Candidates with robust communication skills in the local Garo language will be preferred.

Qualifications and skills
M.Sc. / Ph.D. degree in a biological sciences (or equivalent) discipline such as ecology, wildlife biology, forestry sciences, or environmental sciences
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Wildlife Conservation and Management
Experience of working in NGO sector
Knowledge of ecological sampling, analysis and interpretation
Experience in ecological monitoring and fieldwork. Working knowledge of analytical software like R, GIS is preferable
Established skillin grant management, technical reporting, and monitoring and evaluation
Ability to multi - task and work in a team - oriented, multicultural environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Garo Broad responsibilities include
Field or on - site implementation of the project in association with the reporting manager and in line with the scientific and technical plan, and all administrative and financial requirements of the Project Head
Facilitating the ongoing conservation interventions in terms of the securement of habitats in Garo Hills and developing new projects in the landscape
Deliverables including outputs (tangible measurable) and outcomes (intangible measurable) assigned, processes and conservation achievements along with theProject Head
Field reports, photographic documentation, submission of data sheets etc as per the requirements of the Project Head
All field level governmental and partner liaison at appropriate levels for the project and local public relation needs in consultation with the Project Head
