About the role As a Content writer, you will be expected to create dynamic and engaging content across our channels. The ideal candidate will be comfortable writing both long and short form content for CodeChef s different channels and requirements. Tasks will range from creating social media posts and planning ad campaigns to writing and editing blog posts and reviewing all written communication. CodeChef offers plenty of opportunities to learn the ins and outs of a world-famous competitive programming platform as well as the chance to be part of exciting events.
Responsibilities
- Write creative content for marketing campaigns for CodeChef and its initiatives
- Be responsible for proofreading, suggesting changes and editing all content on the CodeChef website
- Manage CodeChef s presence on social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Quora, etc
- Write engaging and relevant content on the CodeChef blog
- Draft email communications for our customer/client support process as and when necessary
- Assist in the creation of speeches and presentations as and when necessary
- Contribute to the digital marketing processes, especially content strategy
- Public Relations outreach
- Draft scripts for video advertisements, testimonials and other miscellaneous marketing materials

- Solid command over the English language
- Love for writing and using it as a weapon of choice to express
- Ability to present thoughts into writing in a succinct way and possess an ability to create compelling content in limited time
- Passion for journalism, research, and reporting
- Creativity, enthusiasm and quick thinking
- Ability to create content with various tones
- Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
Good to have
- Great organizational and learning skills
- Mastery of editing tools like Word and Google Docs. Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
- An understanding of formatting articles on the web and knowledge of basic HTML
- Some experience with online marketing and lead generation
