Job Description
Purpose of Role:
Instructional Designer will work with content SMEs to design, develop and maintain learning modules of different product types like ILTs, vILTs, Job Aids, Quick Reference Cards, etc. by applying various Instructional Design strategies.
Meets other Agile team members, Program Management team members, and Business content SMEs, as required, to source learning content and get answers to any questions and queries.
This role will report directly into the Agile Project Manager or another Instructional Designer locally with a dual manager (matrix) reporting line as required by local requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work with development tools and templates to design and develop learning deliverables. Should be proficient in Articulate Storyline 360.
- Developing and updating different complex training product types, ILTs/vILTs, Job Aids, and Quick Reference Cards.
- Work with different types of input material to create instructional content.
- Apply various instructional strategies, models, and theories to develop learning content to enhance learning transfer and greater on-the-job performance
- Work with content SMEs to develop and make modifications to training modules (eLearning and ILT), creating/updating knowledge and performance assessments.
- Schedule and facilitate a variety of programs ranging from one hour to multi-day programs conducted in a classroom or online learning environment which may include product/business specific, leadership or skill development training.

- Act as a peer reviewer, as needed.

The Learning organization has embarked on transformational change that will both impact those responsible for learning activities, as well as employees across the organization. As such, roles and responsibilities will need to be fluid to meet the demand as the org model is being redesigned.
Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications:
- B.A. in Instructional Design, adult education, or related field
- Experience with blended learning
- Working knowledge of learning management systems and SCORM.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is desired
- Experience in all phases of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)
- Strong understanding of adult learning methods, Instructional Design and assessment principles.
Skills and Experience -
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing instructor led training and/or eLearning.
- Working in agile environment (professional certification beneficial but not required).
- 2-3 years of team leadership experience.
- PC skills (Microsoft office suite, Adobe and other leading Instructional Design software).
- Excellent writing, grammar, communication and organizational skills.
- Experience developing mobile learning is desired.
