Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer for development and support of DDN's cloud-based software offerings. This candidate will be working closely with the software development team working on the Lustre parallel filesystem. Preferred candidate will have strong experience in system administration in cloud environments. This individual will participate in research and development to enable continuing innovation within DDN's cloud solution portfolio. Must be familiar with development with the Cloud SDKs, source control, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Developing cloud storage solutions using DDN technologies
• Contributes to the design and deployment of solutions, and assists with troubleshooting issues and challenges.
• Providing training, documentation and engineering-level support for these solutions to the DDN support and field organizations

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in Linux environments with Python
• Strong background in deploying software in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including best practices and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with using Terraform to configure infrastructure automations
• Solid understanding of fundamental technology such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, web servers, firewall, SSL, security best practices.
• Excellent and demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a distributed team
• Experience with Atlassian products: Confluence, JIRA, Crowd preferred.
• Knowledge of Lustre filesystem would be a bonus.
