This Requirement is for Controls & Automations position in a Worldwide Pharma MNC@ Mumbai location

Key Educational Qualification and Experience:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation or related field. Minimum of 9 years of overall experience.
6+ years relevant experience in the field for manufacturing / IIoT or related instrumentation.
Last 3 years' experience in Industrial IIoT, Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Sensing Solutions is a must. Experience in Edge systems programming and management.
Background requirement:
A individual with excellent work experience in IIoT instrumentation in industrial manufacturing domain and working on long term projects involving Industrial IIoT network
setup, IoT related sensor networks/ instrumentation, sensing solutions for special manufacturing process, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop instrumentation solutions for smart product and smart factory projects. Identify the type of sensor/ sensor network required, sensor interface, sensor conditioning
module, protocol to be used to connect to IIoT network, etc.
Develop a monitoring solution of sensor/ sensor network/ connected asset to monitor the health status of sensor/ sensor network/ connected asset.
Study condition monitoring requirements of various components used in a machine.
Use RCA, FMEA techniques to identify critical failure modes and underlying causes.
Work with simulation team to identify similar features in virtual simulation of component failure.

Develop and implement an effective condition monitoring system to monitor health & performance of critical components.
Lead, coach, and manage the IIoT instrumentation development, applications, testing and data teams.
Plan and manage project execution.
Create and assign tasks to team and maintain action tracker for internal and external teams.
Provide project status to the management, the project team, and the client in a variety of different formats.
Work alongside and collaborate with internal technical and management teams to develop technical roadmaps.
Manage all procurements and vendors for purchase of components, sensors, sensor modules, software, hardware, servers, etc. which fall within the scope of Edge & Connectivity project.
Research and investigate methods for improving quality of edge and connectivity solutions.
Customer Experience:
Build a strong connect with customers and external stakeholders.
Proactive and regular communication through email, calls or personal visits with all customers.
Prompt action for any issues raised by customer related to edge & connectivity.
Ensure team is well trained to handle all on-site issues.
Timely on-site inspection and interaction with customer to ensure all IIoT related assets are working well.
Oversee the investigation, review, and resolution of client-escalated issues as required.
Enabling your managers and technical contributors to execute with high independence through scalable audit mechanisms. For yourself, you will maintain the technical understanding and customer experience fidelity to actively contribute to engineering and product decision making.
Key Competencies Required:
Technical:
Managed or worked on at least 3 major industrial instrumentation and sensing solutions for machines and processes.
Good understanding and hands-on experience on embedded systems design and programming languages such as C, C++, Java, etc.
Experience with IoT Edge gateways, configuration, management and data storage.
Experience with Edge data storage and management.
Excellent knowledge of Industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus(TCP/RTU), Profinet, BACNet, Zigbee, HART, etc.
Good knowledge of IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, REST, Websocket, BLE, 6LowPAN, LoRa, etc.
Experience or understanding of data validation and qualification standards for industrial automation and instrumentation solutions.
Good Understanding about working knowledge of Vibration Analysis Softwares, Vibration Data
Acquisition systems, Vibration sensors and various Condition Monitoring techniques.
Good understanding on gearbox, generator and bearing failure modes and problem solving.
Expertise on Root Cause Failure Analysis, Basic Fault Diagnosis and Condition Evaluation.
PLC / SCADA programming knowledge is an added benefit.

Managerial:
Basic knowledge of project management methodologies.
Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean methodologies would be preferred.
Manage resource allocation to assure attainment of client outcomes and professional development goals.
Manage utilization and availability of technology consultants.
Excellent in procurement and vendor management.
Bring not just an analytics-orientation, but the ability to use analytics to drive key success metrics related to yield management and revenue generation.
Performance Measurement:
Should be able to set realistic goals for self and achieve 100% in given time frames
Should be able to set realistic goals for team and help achieve not less than 80% of the set goals
Participate in internal project review meetings and present delivery and performance
metrics/KPS to executive management.
