Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for :1. Ensuring strict compliance with cGMP standards during product manufacturing.
2. Preparation of annual production budget to meet the Corporate Business Plan
3. To carry out Cost reduction activities like solvent reduction, recycling, yield improvement, process efficiency.
4. Deciding on a monthly production plan by allocating the resources optimally.
5. Spearheading overall plant and equipment operations, as per budgetary allocations
6. Undertaking production planning for products running in the Module/contract manufacturing (if any).
7. Reviewing existing processes and initiating measures for enhancing production capacity as well as productivity.
8. Providing continuous engineering support on existing products to improve margins, performance and quality.
9. Plant Expansion & Enhancement/ Installation & Commissioning
10. Planning, scheduling, and implementing for operation & maintenance of utility equipment as well as all the machinery
of the production facility oval all manufacturing functions, i.e, SRP, Tech transfer, Yield improvement, recovery, costing, Plant Maintenance, Capacity utilization of maximum resources,PPIC, EHS, warehouse.
11. Carrying out inspection tests for determining the effectiveness of equipment
12. Assess industry trends, technology advancements, and contract site footprint.
13. To ensure compliance of EHS, all legal rules & regulations or all Manufacturing Units
14. Interface with the statutory bodies and ensure statutory compliance.
15. Coordinating internal/ external audits and maintaining relevant documents
16. Manage new projects assignments and meeting the timelines to achieve budget production.
17. Oversee supply and demand planning and execution in coordination with CFT.
18. Communication/relationship with the contract site (if any) as well as cross-functional teams and management
19. Facilitate and manage technology transfer and manufacturing support
20. Successful validation of the new process of product for DMF filing
21. Ensure that adequate resources are provided for the efficient running of the plant and Monitoring efficiency on a regular basis and control excess consumption
22. To initiate training for personnel as per training needs.
23. To monitor the performance of the personnel and to conduct effective Performance Reviews every three months.
24. Maintaining and updating regular MIS reports for the purpose of reviews and utilization of information for further
necessary action & reference.
25. Production should be as per Quality & Standard Yield.
26. Training to new entrants & Plant personnel about product, manufacturing process, plant, and personnel safety.
Candidate Profile:
- Education- preferred chemical engineer/MSC(Organic Chemistry)
- A high caliber potential with 15+ years of experience in directing and managing the Manufacturing Operations for API Manufacturing Facility
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Keen for new experience, responsibility, and accountability
- Effective analytical skills with demonstrated success in problem-solving
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and cGMP is a must.
- Demonstrated success in Technology transfer and manufacturing support
- Individual with a proactive management style characterized by effective leadership, commitment, enthusiasm, communication and teamwork
- Ability to collaborate successfully with both internal and external colleagues to achieve company objectives
