Job Description

What success looks like in this role:

Qualifications:

8+ years of professional experience in a Linux environment as an Engineer or Architect

3+ years of demonstrated knowledge in cloud computing, enterprise and open source technologies; Professional level cloud certification (Azure Expert or AWS Professional)

5+ years experience in an operations or application development environment using scripting or advances programming skills

Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash)

Monitoring solution development and implementation experience

Intimate knowledge of Cloud, Public Cloud security best practices and monitoring of systems and services hosted in the cloud (IaaS, SaaS etc)

Containers experience How to build, up- sides, down- sides, how to deploy (how they fit into development cycles as build artifacts)

Knowledge and experience with virtualization and containerization (Kubernetes, dockers)

Must be well organized and able to leverage best practices, able to thrive in fast- paced environment, and, most importantly, have the ability to approach problems with an innovative, can- do attitude

Demonstrates the ability to analyze and resolve issues independently

Knowledge of project management tasks, experience creating application documentation, and demonstrated ability to train other team members.

Manage maintenance, enhancements and upgrades for supported security systems using standard project methodology

Experience in working in a highly dynamic large scale enterprise

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Drive technical innovation to improve CI- CD efficiency and transparency across the enterprise, helping to foster a culture of CI- CD

Provide subject matter expertise in CI- CD processes, determining methods and procedures

Continuous improvement in system visibility and applications with advanced monitoring, metrics and log analytics

Deliver monitoring and logging solutions for different technology stacks

Aid Operations teams in addressing challenges due to lack of modern DevOps practices, help to recommend DevOps solutions in line with project goals

Work with various source control and build systems, like Git, AWS CodePipeline and Jira ticket management technologies, including their integration to existing processes/pipelines

Identification of root causes on critical problems throughout the platform, incident reports and the organization of the engineering team members in steps to resolve issues

Collaborate with infrastructure team to build highly secure hosting infrastructure and hardened environments

Collect application requirements and design secure pipelines and delivery environments

Collaborate with product teams to design and implement security insights in systems architecture design

Inject security practices into the software delivery life cycle while maintaining a rapid pace of developer productivity

Blend the analytical skills and hacker's mindset along with technical skills required to design, build and manage secure infrastructure
