Job Description
The Test Lead is responsible for managing the testing process of all assigned modules/applications . The Test Team Lead will manage a team of Test Engineers to ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software applications. The Test Lead may draft all required Agile SDLC and validation documents, and facilitate the review and approval of all documents. The Test Lead will be responsible for coordinating and managing the testing process including the creation of test scripts, supporting user acceptance testing and reviewing OQ test scripts. The Test Lead will assist with the development and documentation of testing processes and procedures.- Responsible for managing team of Test Engineers (both automated and manual) to ensure the timely testing and release of customized software applications.
- Set clear productivity and quality objectives for the assigned staff and track progress on individual bases.
- Work with management on defining and implementing testing and validation team roadmap, goals, and vision.
- Contribute in authoring, reviewing departmental procedure documents and work instructions.
- Ensure team adherence to Signant Health?s quality processes and procedures.
- Set performance and team expectations and monitor/measure the team?s and individuals? work to ensure that development project commitments and targets are met.
- Motivate staff towards efficient teamwork and strong relationship with other teams
- Provide leadership to drive the successful completion of all testing projects.
- Responsible for evaluating and implementing new technologies into the current testing process.
- Take active participation in technical training and mentoring for junior team members and cross functional teams.
- Act as approver on testing documents and scripts. Reviews OQ results and ensures quality and adherence to Agile SDLC processes
- Execute tests for all technology platforms.
- Lead testing efforts on assigned projects
- Understands the functional business processes across the entire organization.
- Works closely with Product Owners and Technical Leads to formulate the high level testing solution, and is responsible for ensuring that the testing strategy includes complete coverage of acceptance criteria for a user story.
- Create and execute test cases, manages bugs and reports testing status to project scrum teams.
- Develops test tools and test solutions.
- Reviews test cases and test scripts for quality and coverage.
- Drafts all required Agile SDLC and validation documents, including the Trace Matrix, Product Test Plan and Test execution report
- Facilitates the review and approval of all SDLC and validation documents.
- Follows defined validation process and produces validated documents for all initiatives.
- Assists with the development and documentation of testing processes and procedures as necessary.
- Self-manage testing workload for testing multiple systems in various phases of development in order to meet deadlines.
- Document traceability between testing and system requirements documentation.
- Manage various aspects of in-house testing documentation.
- Participate in testing process improvement activities as needed.
- Demonstrate total ownership, accountability, and commitment to the testing deliverables.
- Provide support to staff on other internal initiatives as assigned.
- Responsible for maintenance and execution of automation testing scripts and load/performance testing for assigned projects.
- Responsible for defining test strategy for assigned projects including load/performance testing.
- Responsible for the evaluation of new automation tools and methods to increase testing efficiency and coverage of highly configurable systems.
- Experience working with multiple software validation lifecycles and with accepted software testing methodologies. Must have a thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, and experience with the testing process throughout all SDLC phases.
- Must have excellent analytical skills with proven ability to comprehend business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
- Must have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to effectively document procedures, processes and results.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing back-up support to team members, and establishing / maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas.
- Must have very strong skills with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be comfortable working with business users and technical teams.
- Must have demonstrated experience interfacing, influencing and negotiating with business users and technical teams.
- Familiarity with SQL Queries is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.
- Familiarity with GCP and 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus.
- Familiarity with defect tracking software is a plus.
